But in the GOP race, little is certain, and so far, mainly minor candidates have been providing the most clarity about their intentions. 40-year old Jason McCoy, the Republican mayor of Vernon said last Friday he will explore a Connecticut Senate run in 2012, and won't be running for reelection.
